lone zucchini

I started pulling old green bean plants and noticed this zucchini – haven’t found any more. It was cool but now it’s hot again.

slippery slope of conflict

Several years ago I bought The Slippery Slope of Conflict curriculum with the comic books – all very good. We never did cover it all, but what we did cover was very helpful.

It is good to review from time to time and conflict seems ever-unavoidable, whether it be teenage-parent conflicts, s-i-l conflicts, where to go to church conflicts, etc. etc. etc. This would fit under mental and emotional health.

Oftentimes it’s best to overlook things: “Overlook an offense—Many disputes are so insignificant that they should be resolved by quietly and deliberately overlooking an offense. “A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense” (Prov. 19:11). Overlooking an offense is a form of forgiveness, and involves a deliberate decision not to talk about it, dwell on it, or let it grow into pent-up bitterness or anger.”
