Homemade Dog Kibble

Yay! I found a doable recipe for homemade dog kibble. I’ve run out of the boughten, so here goes – she eats two raw chicken wings in the morning and veggies and raw eggs and night and is such a happy, happy dog. I mix the food with kibble, so this recipe will be perfect.

I made the recipe using rye flour, powdered milk, water, shredded carrots, brown rice, eggs and lard. It is baking at 170 degrees for 45 minutes, but it seems it should bake hotter than that – we’ll see how it turns out.

I will bake it longer at a higher temp. as it seems really mushy now after an hour at 175 degrees.

P.S. again: I really think the recipe should be baked at 275 degrees for 30 or 40 minutes.
